Suggestions for Concussion? Carotid? “ask the audience” card in effect

Hello my darlings.

I’m stuck and don’t know what to do. Sometimes when you don’t know what to do, it’s time to ask for help. I haven’t posted much about the accident as obviously it’s still an ongoing case and well… I just have no idea about the “rules” of such things. Plus, I detest being a WHINER.

But today I just don’t care.  I mentioned that i was rear ended, a couple of weeks ago now.

I’ve had dizzyness and nausea since right after the accident but the headaches started about a week later. And they got worse, and worse and WORSE.I’ve never had headaches or migraines and I only take about one Advil a year.

I had an MRI that showed a small tear in my carotid but nothing else. Yesterday I ended up in the ER again due to the pain.They did a CAT scan and sent me HOME with bucket loads of narcotics for the pain and told me the CAT looked “normal” – I seriously doubt that but I’m TRYING to follow directions and be a good little patient.

It’s not working. Vicoden barely touches the pain. My confusion and memory is getting worse each day.  I know a concussion may cause these symptoms but the fact that two weeks later the pain is rapidly increasing in frequency and intensity scares me. It now wakes me in the night. Now I don’t believe in taking pills but I’m pretty sure that’s a biggie and it’s supposed to WORK.

I’m now restricted to the couch with a chair filled with pills next to me, and they want me to “wait it out”.  But it gets worse each day.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I’m begging for help.  I’ll do anything….Random links to read, witches brew? I’m open.
